Please Note: This steering gear is for vehicles that did NOT come with the snowplow prep option. The casting 025 can be found on the housing of these steering gears. If the housing has an 055 stamped instead, then you do have the snowplow package and you need the following part number, please click on the following link to view: 2548L

Please Note: Starting in 1997, the Dodge Dakota came with option of a Steering Gear or a Rack and Pinion, Redhead only sells steering gears.

This gear is for the Models that have the NON-Snow Plow option. If your gear has an 83 casted in the housing then you need this gear. If it does not then you have the Snow Plow option so you want the gear 2548-L. Starting in 1997 the Dodge Dakota came with the option of the Steering gear or a Rack and Pinion. Shipping costs vary.
